DRIVING TECHNOLOGY

Hands On Detection (HOD)

Hands On Detection (HOD) allows the vehicle to accurately detect when the driver is holding the steering wheel. When driver assistance systems such as Highway Driving Assist are activated, HOD precisely determines whether or not the driver is holding the steering wheel, issuing warnings when necessary.

HIGHWAY DRIVING ASSIST 2 (LANE CHANGING ASSIST INCLUDED)

This feature monitors the distance from the preceding vehicle on highways, automatically maintaining the set speed and safe distance, even on road curves.

Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC)

It automatically slows down upon entering speed limit or curved sections and then returns to the previous set speed afterwards. It guides you to drive safe by adjusting the speed even on highway ramp sections.

It warns the driver and puts on the brake whenever necessary if collisions with the proceeding vehicles, pedestrians, and bicycles are predicted. It also recognizes the vehicles approaching when passing through the intersections and moving forward to give warning or sometimes assist the emergency braking. It predicts a possible collision with vehicles approaching or in front during lane change as well as with pedestrians nearby the road.

When you operate the turn signal lamp switch to change lanes, it warns the driver of a possible collision with a vehicle in the back. Even after the warning, if necessary, it applies emergency braking to prevent a collision. If a possible collision is detected while the vehicle is leaving a parking lot from the car’s parallel-parked position, the system assists the driver in automatic braking activation.

Move the turn signal lamp switch to change lanes, which is shown on the blind-spot monitor for a maximum level of safety.

Lane Keeping Assist (LKA)

It warns the driver when the vehicle departs from the lane without moving the turn signal switch on the road and automatically helps the steering to keep the vehicle in its lane.

SAFE DRIVING FEATURES

Intelligent Front Lighting System (IFS)

The Intelligent Front-Lighting System allows the driver to use an always-on high beam without the risk of blinding oncoming traffic or any preceding vehicles. Equivalently applied to vehicles in front, there is no need to control the headlamp, which will ease the driving at night.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)

When the vehicle is backing up, the LED rear guide lamp projects light onto the road, alarming other vehicles and pedestrians to prevent accidents.

Safe Exit Assist

This feature sounds an alert when vehicles approaching from behind is detected when a passenger opens a door to exit the vehicle. It also keeps the Electronic Child Safety Lock activated to prevent the doors from opening. In addition, if the risk of rear side collision is determined, the door is prevented from opening even if the door open button is pressed.

Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist (Front/Side/Rear)

It gives warning during parking or pull-out or when collision with nearby pedestrians or objects is detected. Even after the warning, if necessary, it applies emergency braking to prevent a collision.

10 air bags system

The G90 is equipped with advanced airbags for the driver seat, driver knee airbags, center side airbag for the front seat, front and rear seats side airbags and rollover curtain airbags to protect all those on board.
