Intelligent
Front-Lighting System

The Intelligent Front-Lighting System(IFS) allows the driver to travel in the vehicle with a high beam without the risk of glaring in vision of oncoming traffic or any preceding vehicles. This function is achieved using LEDs with individual electronic controls which are turned up or dimmed down as required.

Center side airbags have been implemented in the front seats to prevent injuries that may arise in side collisions due to driver-passenger or occupant-object impact within the cabin. A total of ten airbags further protect all vehicle occupants, including advanced airbags for front seats that detect the presence of a passenger and the severity of a collision to control deployment, side and curtain airbags for both the front and rear, and a driver's knee airbag.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist
(FCA, Junction Turning)

The G70 Shooting Brake warns and automatically assists in braking as needed if the preceding vehicle suddenly slows or if there is a high risk of a front-end collision due to a stopped vehicle or sudden appearance of pedestrians or cyclists. Braking assistance is also applied when a risk of collision with an oncoming vehicle is detected when turning left at an intersection.

Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA)

When BCA detects an imminent collision from the backside while making a lane change or leaving a parking lot from the car’s parallel-parked position, it sends an alert and, if the risk of collision increases even after the alert, the BCA assists to avoid the collision through automatic brake activation.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)

RCCA warns the driver of approaching traffic from the left and right sides of the vehicle during reverse maneuvers. Even after the warning, if necessary, it applies emergency braking to prevent a collision.

Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control (NSCC)

When driving on a highway or expressway with smart cruise control enabled, the G70 Shooting Brake reduces the speed appropriately when entering autopilot-permitted zones and curved sections based on the road data provided by the navigation system. After safely passing such sections, the speed is automatically returned to the previously set speed.

Highway Driving Assist (HDA)

The advanced driving assistance system analyzes the driving environment and detects any potential risks in advance to help drivers prevent accidents. It also assists the driver in controlling the accelerator, brake pedal, and steering wheel, allowing for a stress-free, comfortable drive in any driving condition.
